…but it led right into the wall. Coming back up though, a crawlspace was found.
After going through the crawlspace. they made the most horrifying discovery. Someone was living in their walls.
There was bedding, a pile of clothes, candy that the boys recognized as their own, and small toys among which were these creepy-eyed dolls.
There was also this strange key, and they have no idea what it leads to.
It is believed by some that this is a hoax. After all, it does have the earmarks. Allegedly, the police got involved though, and conducted a city-wide search for the person who was hiding inside the walls. They surmised that the person had been coming and going as he pleased, given how little food was found, and that he or she must have been entering through the bookcase secret door, as there was no other exit from the hidden room. Hoax or no hoax, it’s certainly a creepy story.
