Across the majority of the land on earth, rocks can be found just about anywhere. For most people, they’re just something you step on, kick, or skip across the water. Nobody cares about them or even notices them for the most part.

However, one father and his six kids gathered over a thousand rocks and turned them into beautiful rock art creations. They painted them one by one in various designs and colors. They also created all of their designs in matching pairs. Half of them are on display in their local Children’s Museum. The other half are scattered around town, so people can find them and photograph them. Here’s how they did it:

Aaron Zenz, and his six kids painted silly faces on more than 1,000 rocks.

They took their creations to Grand Rapids MI in time for the world’s largest ArtPrize.

His kids are aged 5 to 17 years old.

They were free to design their own rocks and choose the colors.

Fun faces are painted onto all of them.

Some even simultaneously resemble fruits and vegetables.

They painted all of the rocks in pairs, so each one has a twin.

Half were placed in their local Children’s Museum.

The other half were hidden around town.

People have been photographing them when they find them in order to track their finds.

This is a great idea and a really cool project. It’s similar to Pokemon Go, only in real life.
