The world of modeling is very competitive. Many successful models start young and work their way up to earn their spot among the supermodels who consistently get hired by professional photographers and famous designers. For many, however, the competition is too much, and it weeds them out.

Rebekah Marine always wanted to be a model, but she was born without an arm below her right elbow. Many people discouraged her from pursuing her dream of being a model because of her condition. But last year, at the age of 28, she walked the runway during New York’s Fashion Week with her prosthetic arm and proved those people wrong.

Meet Rebekah Marine.

She always wanted to be a model, but she only has one arm.

People told her she’d never be a model because of it.

She was told she’d never make it in the fashion world.

But she proved them all wrong.

She walked in New York’s Fashion Week last year.

She models with her bionic arm called an i-limb quantum prosthetic.

She refers to herself as The Bionic Model.
