As a follow up to yesterday’s “bizarre Neverland Ranch secrets” post, this one will highlight what has become of NeverLand Ranch more recently (video below). Built in 1982, Michael Jackson purchased it in 1988 during the peak of his career. It is now for sale, listed not as Neverland Ranch, but as “Sycamore Valley Ranch” by the Montecito, CA branch of Sotheby’s International Realty. It boasts 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms and is close to 13,000 square feet. The price tag? A cool $100 million.
Sitting on nearly 3,000 acres, it’s definitely big enough to be a ranch. It spans 4.2 square miles!
At 130 miles northeast of Los Angeles, it’s about 5 miles past the middle of nowhere.
And most of it is completely undeveloped.
Who would mind that it’s mostly undeveloped with surrounding scenery like this?
The area that IS developed, however, is as vibrant as ever.
And it’s absolutely breathtaking!
There are brooks, streams, and rivers…
…a lake with fountains and a waterfall, and glorious gardens.
The carnival rides are gone, but some of the Peter Pan elements remain…
…including the Neverland clock that’s made of flowers.
It includes 3 separate guest homes.
And just as much as it ever has, it looks like it’s straight out of a fairy tale.
In addition to the 3 guest homes, there’s “an expansive covered outdoor barbeque area” next to a pool, along with a pool house and a tennis court.
