A shopkeeper in New York City’s Chinatown gave Bobo the cat a home in the store 9 years ago, but when Annie Liao began working in the shop in 2014, she took over as Bobo’s caregiver. In doing so, the tabby cat became quickly attached to her.

Liao says Bobo loves to sit near the entrance and greet the shop’s customers with a meow, then he proceeds to show them around. She says the cat is the “king of the store”, after all, he’s been there for 9 years and has never missed a day of work. Liao also created an Instagram account for him. Now anyone can see how Bobo spends his days around the store.

Meet Bobo. He hasn’t taken a day off in 9 years.

He works in a shop in Chinatown in New York City.

Here he is, looking dignified, and rightfully so. After all, he is the ‘king of the store’.

He love to show customers around the store.

That is, after he’s greeted them with a ‘meow’ at the front door.

He’s a very curious fellow.

He knows how to guard the register.

Sometimes he just enjoys being a cat.

Now he’s becoming an Instagram sensation.
