Who can resist the sweet, melt-in-your-mouth goodness of chocolate? It is very hard to keep away from the delicious temptations, especially when it comes to children. Today, there are a variety of chocolates, including a few that come with free toys! For a child, there’s nothing more exciting than eating delicious chocolate and finding a toy at the same time.
However, one U.K. mom had the shock of her life when she bought her son a seemingly harmless chocolate egg. Instead of finding a toy, she found drugs instead.
Sophie Brown bought an off-brand version of the famous Kinder Surprise chocolate for her son.
He usually likes the toys included in the chocolates.
Her son complained that he couldn’t open the egg that holds the toy.
When she finally opened the egg, she found these over-the-counter drugs.
She reported the incident to the police and was thankful that her son didn’t get hold of the medicine.

It is important to always be cautious when buying any type of off-brand products. What happened to Brown and her son may be just an isolated case in the U.K., but these Kinder Surprise eggs are supposedly banned in the United States for this exact reason! Be sure to keep close eye on what you purchase, especially if your child will use it.
