Sarah Thistlethwaite a few days before mothers day, two years ago. On that day, Jenna and Jillian Thistlethwaite were born after sharing the same amniotic sac inside their mother’s womb throughout her pregnancy. This is dangerous due to the fact that their umbilical cords can tangle up and cut off their blood supply.
Their case was one in 10,000, but what made them very special was what happened after they were born. The twins were holding hands right after they came out of the womb. There may not have been a single dry eye in the delivery room when it happened. Two years later, they’re still inseparable.
Jenna and Jillian were born two years ago under rare and dangerous circumstances.
They were monoamniotic twins, meaning they shared the same amniotic sac, which commonly yields only a 50% survival rate.
Doctors and nurses were amazed because they were holding hands when they were born.
They were born 45 seconds apart.
Two years later, they’re as beautiful as ever.
And they’re still holding on to each other.
The twins are inseparable.
