New Airless Bicycle Tire Solves Problems For Cycling And Recycling

Cycling has become increasingly popular the last few years, with more and more people purchasing high-end bicycles and equipment. After all, it’s a great way to get outside and get some exercise without putting too much physical strain on the body.

Did you know, however, that so many bicycle tires are thrown out each year that the total adds up to millions of tons of rubber that either gets thrown away or has to be recycled? A company in Utah, named Nexo, is trying to change that with a new flat-free tire designed from a strong polymer blend that gives well balanced shock absorption and can last for thousands of miles!

Introducing airless bike tires from Nexo

The tires are built from very durable polymer blends.

They can be mounted on your existing wheels or you can buy them with their own wheel set.

If you replace the entire wheel set with these, they can last up to 5,000 miles (3,100 if you put them on your existing wheels).

It can withstand wear and tear that typical air-holding tires cannot.

Since it’s made from a single material, it’s much easier to recycle.

Flat tires will be a thing of the past once you turn to airless tires from Nexo. Check them out on Kickstarter.
